Plateful estimates calories and macros from photos of your meals. We built it to collect as little as possible: there are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

What stays on your phone

• Your meal log, meal photos, and daily goals are stored only on your device.
• Deleting a meal, using Clear meal log, or deleting the app removes them.

What is sent to our server, and why

• The meal photo you choose to scan (resized) and any hint you type. It is sent to our server and passed to our AI provider, Anthropic, only to produce the nutrition estimate. We do not store your photos on our server.
• An anonymous device ID created by the app. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID, and is used only to count scans (free and subscription limits).
• Your internet (IP) address, used for a short time (about 2 days) to prevent abuse such as automated requests.
• Subscription transaction IDs from Apple, which we check with Apple to confirm an active Plateful Pro subscription. We never receive your payment details.

Third parties

• Anthropic processes scan photos to generate estimates, under its commercial API terms.
• Cloudflare hosts our server.
• Apple handles all payments and subscriptions.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to track you across apps or websites.

Plateful's estimates are approximate and are not medical or dietary advice.

Children

Plateful is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

• You can delete your meal log anytime in Settings or by deleting the app.
• Camera and photo access can be changed anytime in your iPhone's Settings.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
